Fire doors form an integral part of any fire strategy to protect life and property. They are designed to prevent the spread of smoke and fire and maintain the integrity of compartment walls for a designated period of time. A fire door is designed, engineered and tested in accordance with British and European standards to ensure that if it is ever called upon, it does what it is intended to do.
Our Fire Door Surveys look at all relevant component parts of all fire doors, this includes:
- The quality and workmanship of the installation
- The door frame
- The door leaf
- The gaps between the leaf and frame
- The self closing device
- Intumescent strips and cold smoke seals
- Any glazed elements
- Letter plates and transfer grilles
- Any other relevant items
On completion of your fire door inspection, you will be provided with a detailed report describing each door's condition and highlighting any necessary remedial work.
