Compartmentation Surveys

Compartmentation Surveys

The objective of compartmentation is to prevent the rapid spread of smoke and fire. By subdividing the building we protect escape routes, high risk or high value areas and prevent extensive losses. Our surveys will clearly identify any shortfalls in your compartmentation and provide a clear action plan to rectify

What is Compartmentation

Compartmentation forms a critical part of the fire strategy for a building and is an integral part of the fire risk assessment process. Properly maintained compartmentation can be one of the most effective methods of securing your property and its occupants. The objective of compartmentation is to prevent the rapid spread of smoke and fire. By subdividing the building we protect escape routes, high risk or high value areas and prevent extensive losses. Our surveys will clearly identify any shortfalls in your compartmentation and provide a clear action plan to rectify

What is a Comartmentation Survey

A Fire Risk Assessment will involve a sample and review of existing fire compartment measures. However, the scope of a fire risk assessment will not cover every area of fire compartmentation - where a more detailed review of compartmentation is required a compartmentation survey may be needed. We use our bespoke software system to carryout the Compartmentation Survey whilst on-site. We will create a report in an easy to understand format with all significant findings clearly laid out and easy to follow so you will completely understand what is required of you.
